How does it work?
BVI Now uses a proprietary location technology which allows for the app to run in the background and work when there is no data connection or cell signal. Most importantly, there is virtually no battery drain.
1. Select user type
Users are asked to select the user type that best describes them, such as cruise ship passenger, charter boat tourist, land-based tourist or person who lives and works in the BVI.
2. Select categories of interest
Users then select categories they are interested in such as experiences, beaches, dining out, shopping home maintenance and more. In this way, users always see the most relevant information that is personalized to them. The information can be updated anytime as interests change. It is best for users to enable notifications for the full experience of the app so that as they move around the BVI they can be notified of an event, breaking news or something of interest near them.
Collects no personal information
BVI Now is a completely anonymous app. Users are not asked to provide any personal details such as their name, email or phone number. And no personal location information is recorded or stored.
